Hi Brad,

To answer your question, stripslashes is a built-in function of PHP, and cannot be turned off.

I am sorry that you are not able to use the quote-of-the-day plug-in. I am not aware of any broken links resulting from the use of this plug-in by other users. Also, I don't know of any instances where stripslashes (which is used within HTML attributes and to format form data field values) would cause this issue. I will be glad to assist you should you decide to try it again.

Thanks,
Coyote

Hi Coyote,

I like your plug-in but I had to deactivate it because it broke several of the hyperlinks to my Pages. Is their any way to disable the .stripslashes command in the php?

Thanks!

Hi peach,

Thanks for the kind words.

Make sure that you are using version 1.1 as the date computation was fixed in that release.

Hey Coyote,

I have Wordpress Quote of the Day and I love it. I'm only an ASPIRING computer geek and going to school so I'm working on a site I designed and had a friend build and I'm trying to do as much work on it as I can (so as not to bother him—it's a non-profit page and we didn't pay him). I say that just to let you know I have limited ability to try to go in there and fix it myself.

I too am having a problem with the quotes not changing everyday—it is remaining static at one quote (actually #2 if that means anything).

I will check back here as it looks like you are looking into the problem but just wanted to let you know about it so I can eventually get it solved.

Thanks for all the GREAT work you do! I LOVE the idea of a "Quotes Archive."

Hi,

I am adding a delete feature for the next release. Until then, you can simply edit the existing quote overwriting it with the quote you want to use.

I can't find a way to remove quotes? Especially the default Mark Twain one that came with the plugin upgrade.

Hi Oddball,

Reminds me of Donald Sutherland in the movie Kelly's Heroes. :-]

I can certainly look in to adding a configuration option whereby the administrator may select from the available roles/capabilities to allow access. That work for you?

Thanks for your interest!

Is there a way to assign access to this plugin to users other than Admin? I have folks in the Editor role and I'd like them to be able to add quote material.

If that's not currently possible, could be a future feature? :)

Thanks!
